Role Details
Consty Travel and Tours is currently recruiting Family Physicians (General Practitioners) who are looking to relocate to or practice in New Zealand.
Salary: NZD 228,800 – NZD 360,000 (commensurate with experience).
Relocation Support: Up to NZD 15,000 for two people, covering moving expenses, initial housing, and logistical support.
Registration Assistance: We facilitate the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) registration process to ensure a smooth transition for qualified candidates.
Registration Requirements
Doctors trained or practiced in “comparable health systems” have a more straightforward pathway to MCNZ registration. According to the Medical Council of New Zealand, eligibility for the comparable pathway generally requires:
Completion of GP training.
At least 33 months of clinical practice before applying.

Eligibility for Registration as a GP in New Zealand
Doctors from these recognized healthcare systems can apply through the Comparable Health System Pathway if they meet the following criteria:
Clinical Practice: At least 33 months of clinical practice (minimum 20 hours per week) in the last 48 months in one or more of these comparable health systems.
Area of Medicine: Must have worked in the same or a similar area of medicine at a comparable level of responsibility.
Registration: Must hold current full or general registration with the medical regulatory authority in a recognized comparable country.
Postgraduate Training (for GPs): GPs may also qualify if they have completed a formal postgraduate training program in general practice in a comparable health system within the last three years and meet the relevant clinical practice requirements.
